Look Around
Andrew Balding
Fourth in Nell Gwyn, Tuesday

Last year the Nell Gwyn fourth, Billesdon Brook, went on to spring a huge surprise in the Qipco 1,000 Guineas. For anyone who thinks lightning could strike twice, there was a lot to like about Look Around's effort in this season's renewal.

Held up at the rear, she made nice late headway through the final furlong to grab fourth on the line. An extra furlong looks sure to suit and she can still be backed at 66-1 for the Guineas.

Good Vibes
David Evans
Second in fillies' maiden, Tuesday

Although ultimately no match for the smartly-bred and well touted Chasing Dreams, Good Vibes put up a decent show on debut.

Awkwardly away and then a shade keen through the early stages, the juvenile filly still managed to lay up with Chasing Dreams until the final furlong and finished well clear of the rest of the field. She should be found a winning opportunity soon.

Eightsome Reel
Michael Bell
Third in novice stakes, Wednesday

This looks like a race that should produce its fair share of winners and Eightsome Reel looks a likely type on his next couple of outings.

A 50-1 winner on debut at Wolverhampton, the three-year-old had to concede 7lb to most of the field, but was first of the previous winners home and stepping up to a mile and a half will suit.

He is bred to be a nice stayer and can make up into one this season.

Joyful Mission
Sir Michael Stoute
Fourth in maiden stakes, Thursday

Sir Michael Stoute is known for bringing his horses along steadily and Joyful Mission looks a prospect to keep firmly on side after a very encouraging debut.

Sluggishly away, the colt wasn't given a hard time by Ryan Moore but stayed on very strongly to snatch fourth.

The top three in the market filled the top three positions, suggesting the form looks strong, and this three-year-old looks sure to improve in time and when stepped up in trip.

Ice Lord
Chris Wall
Fourth in sprint handicap, Tuesday

An enigmatic but talented performer, Ice Lord came into Tuesday's race off a career-high mark, but his effort suggested there could be more to come, even as a seven-year-old.

He was slowest away and travelled enthusiastically, as he often tends to, as he was held up in the near-side group.

Richard Kingscote was presented with a wall of horses as the race developed and got daylight only late on. Ice Lord stormed home to finish fourth and has the talent to pick up another decent handicap.
