Unbeaten US filly Lady Aurelia enjoyed a first taste of the Rowley Mile yesterday, three weeks before her intended assignment at the Newmarket track in the Group 1 Connolly's Red Mills Cheveley Park Stakes.

The Wesley Ward-trained juvenile has been lodging at the nearby National Stud since arriving from France last week after she had completed a hat-trick in the Group 1 Prix Morny at Deauville.

Before that Lady Aurelia had scored by seven lengths in the Group 2 Queen Mary Stakes at Royal Ascot in June, a performance described as "devastating" by rider Frankie Dettori.
