Kempton has completed a refurbishment of its all-weather surface to maintain the track and minimise kickback.

In order to keep the Polytrack in good working order, 56 tonnes of the original blended wax was added to the racing line stretching out to 14 yards wide in the home straight.

Clerk of the course Barney Clifford expects the track will ride on the slow side as the new material beds in, but initial feedback to the work has been positive.
