Julia Feilden blasts BHA over 'war zone' Kempton meeting on fireworks night

Julia Feilden has compared Kempton to a war zone after the course’s evening meeting on bonfire night.

The trainer, who saddled two runners for the eight-race fixture, took to Twitter to voice her frustration and on Wednesday morning emphasised how the fireworks released from outside the racecourse had an effect on the horses in the stables.

"It was like an amphitheatre or a war zone – it was so noisy," she said. "Because it’s London there are fireworks all around you, especially as it’s so open at Kempton. The BHA keeps saying that meeting has been on for years but the same thing keeps happening and it’s getting worse and worse."
