Now Ferguson jnr starts new chapter after Godolphin

Where once there were two now there are none, with news reaching The Dikler that James Ferguson has followed his father John out of the Godolphin fold.

Ferguson jnr was a high-profile member of Charlie Appleby's team at Moulton Paddocks in Newmarket, often representing Godolphin at the races. He also marshalled the highly successful stint of Appleby's runners in Australia over the winter.

He had remained in his role as assistant to Appleby despite the departure of his father, the former Godolphin chief executive, last month following a fallout with trainer Saeed Bin Suroor.
