Jack Kennedy: Samcro has plenty of ability and I haven't lost faith yet
Eddie O'Leary might be losing patience with Samcro but rider Jack Kennedy believes the enigmatic star still possesses an "unbelievable amount of ability" and says he has not lost faith in the eight-year-old, who heads straight to the Cheltenham Festival without another run.
O'Leary, racing manager of Gigginstown House Stud who own Samcro, suggested handicaps might come under consideration for the festival winner after his defeat by Faugheen at Limerick over Christmas, adding: "You can forget the Samcro who we thought was the real deal at one stage, he's not that any more."
Kennedy admitted he has been frustrated by Samcro, too, and has been puzzled over the Limerick loss, but was not willing to give up on the Ballymore Novices' Hurdle winner just yet.
