'I've always been keen on the Ryanair' - Imperial Aura rider clear on target

The Ryanair Chase has been earmarked as the Cheltenham Festival target for Imperial Aura all season and jockey David Bass is still convinced it is the right race for the exciting eight-year-old.

Bass has ridden Imperial Aura in each of his 12 starts and the pair endured their first major racecourse mishap when parting ways at the second fence at Kempton last Saturday.

Winner of the novice handicap chase at the festival last season, Imperial Aura landed a Grade 2 at Ascot in November and was sent off the evens favourite in the Silviniaco Conti Chase at Kempton.
