Ivan Furtado excited about moving to Newark yard he knows well

Ivan Furtado will return to familiar territory next month after agreeing a lease to move into owner John Fretwell's Averham Park stable at Newark in Nottinghamshire.

The Brazilian trainer has sent out 78 winners since starting out three and a half years ago from Wiseton Stables in Doncaster.

However, when the purpose-built yard near Southwell racecourse, where Furtado assisted former occupant Alan McCabe, became available, the trainer found it too good an opportunity to miss.
