Cheltenham November Meeting: ITV Racing Tips
Racing Post expert James Hill picks his best bets for Friday’s racing at Cheltenham in a bid to help you find more winners.
– Mucking Brilliant Paddy Power Handicap Chase
If horses are good enough, they'll carry the weight and win, which is why I won't be put off by the 12st Magic Saint is saddled with in this 2m handicap chase. Paul Nicholls' six-year-old has always looked a two-miler.
Preference is for Nicky Henderson's Grand Mogul. An eight-length bumper victor when trained by Gordon Elliott, it has taken him a while to find his feet at Seven Barrows. Indeed, he failed to beat a single horse in two starts last term, but he looks to have arrived now following a seven-length success at Chepstow last month.

Race 1 – 1.50 Cheltenham
He has not yet shown his best form at Cheltenham but Magic Saint travelled well over 2m4f here on New Year's Day before failing to stay and can return to winning ways now back down in distance.
Race 2 – 2.15 Southwell
Preference is for Hooper, who was one of two to draw clear of the others when going close on his hurdling debut.
Race 3 – 2.25 Cheltenham
There was promise in the chase debut of MOSSY FEN over 3m here and he can capitalise on today's drop back in distance.
Race 4 – 2.33 Newcastle
A chance is taken that cheekpieces revive Calle Malva. A winning hurdler, she has had excuses on her first couple of runs over fences.
Race 5 – 2.50 Southwell
The suggestion is Barrys Jack, who proved he retains a significant chunk of his old ability when second last month after a long layoff.
Race 6 – 3.00 Cheltenham
25 years on from the first cross-country race at Cheltenham, two of this course's most celebrated winners take each other on again. Easysland stayed on strongly at the festival in March, whereas Tiger Roll faltered, and although both have to prove their fitness going into this race, the French youngster probably has a very good chance to emerge on top again.
Race 7 – 3.35 Cheltenham
3m point winner Wild Romance was very strong at the finish when winning over 2m3f last month and is preferred over Does He Know.
