Is this Britain's Gold Cup contender? Chantry House returns to action at Sandown

Is there any chance of a British victory in the Cheltenham Gold Cup? The answer may become a little clearer at Sandown on Sunday with the return to action of Chantry House, who is the leading contender outside Ireland according to betting lists.

The seven-year-old features among an entry of just six for the John O'Leary Memorial Future Stars Intermediate Chase, in which trainer Nicky Henderson has a fine recent record. Might Bite, Santini and Pym have won for Seven Barrows in the past four years, while Terrefort finished sore when a disappointing favourite for the yard in the 2018 contest.

"We've used this race in the past and it's a good stepping stone for horses coming out of novice company," Henderson said. "And it'll give us a clue as to what to do next.
