Team player O'Neill delivers for Elliott on Wrath Of Titans
Gordon Elliott was full of praise for Lisa O'Neill after the 28-year-old provided him with a first Guinness Kerry National win aboard Wrath Of Titans in the Listowel festival's biggest prize.
Wrath Of Titans, a 7-1 shot, scored by five lengths from Rightville Boy to give owners Gigginstown House Stud a second consecutive win in the event, having scored with Rogue Angel 12 months ago.
From Garristown, Co Dublin, O'Neill, daughter of trainer and former jockey Tommy O'Neill, was riding in the race for the first time. After describing her ride on the seven-year-old as "a peach", Elliott paid tribute to the winning rider's role in his Co Meath yard.
