'He's going to Leopardstown' - High Definition on course for crunch clash with Facile Vega
The prospect of a one-time Derby favourite taking on the unbeaten superstar novice Facile Vega is one of the most fascinating duels of the entire Dublin Racing Festival and Joseph O'Brien reports High Definition to be on course for the clash in the Tattersalls Ireland Novice Hurdle on February 5.
High Definition spent the winter after his juvenile campaign on the Flat as ante-post favourite for the Epsom Derby, but he finished third to Hurricane Lane in the Dante and only managed to beat one home on his next start when favourite for the Irish Derby.
He didn't win afterwards on the Flat but was rated 119 last summer and he made a promising start to his jumping career at Leopardstown's Christmas meeting when winning a traditionally hot maiden hurdle in emphatic fashion under JJ Slevin.
