Arc favourite Postponed was switched from Luca Cumani to Roger Varian last autumn in an exodus that led to Cumani losing as many as 35 of his string.

It was not until after Postponed won the Juddmonte International that Sheikh Mohammed Obaid finally explained it was down to the horse not winning any of his first three starts last year.
