Winx bidding to secure 28th consecutive victory in Saturday's Turnbull Stakes
Preview: Australia
Flemington: Tab Turnbull Stakes (Group 1) | 1m2f, 4yo+ | ATR | 6am GMT Saturday
Saturday's Turnbull Stakes is likely to be the last time Winx races at Flemington with trainer Chris Waller preparing his superstar mare for a Cox Plate swansong.
Waller said that he and the mare's connections were unlikely to be tempted to run the seven-year-old in the Mackinnon Stakes, during the Melbourne Cup carnival, also run at Flemington.
Waller said: "I would say so [this will be her last run at Flemington], we are just taking it one run at a time, we haven't got too far ahead of ourselves in that regard, we are just talking one race."

Winx is looking to extend her winning streak to 28 races and is a best-priced 1-6 for Saturday's Turnbull Stakes (6.00 GMT).
The trainer added: "The Turnbull Stakes is an important race. Who knows what is around the corner with Winx? Who would have thought after one Cox Plate four years ago that we would be here still now and not just running with distinction?
"We do respect the horse, we do respect her age and we do respect that she won't be there forever but we are making the most of it and doing the best we can.
"Mentally she is perfect, physically she is picture perfect, we take photos of our horses every week and we compared her to a photo from last year and if anything her coat is more advanced – whether that means anything I don't know [but] that is the only difference I can say, she is shining and ready to perform."
Cheers! Fans of Winx can toast the wondermare with special beer
Winx will take on nine rivals, including two-time Flemington Group 1 winner Grunt, Caulfield Guineas winner Mighty Boss, ATC Derby winner Jon Snow, Queensland Oaks winner Youngstar, and Caulfield Cup favourite Kings Will Dream.
Winx was crowned Australia's Horse of the Year for the third-successive time on Thursday, joining fellow champions Black Caviar and Sunline as the only horses to receive the award three times.
