Wanted: a Verry Elleegant jockey who can commit to riding Aussie star in Europe
The connections of Australian superstar Verry Elleegant are searching for a top jockey to stick with her throughout a European campaign that is intended to end with a crack at a race for which she has not been entered.
Victories in the Melbourne Cup, Caulfield Cup and nine other Group 1 prizes have made Verry Elleegant one of the most successful and popular horses to compete in Australia in the modern era.
In May, she switched hemispheres and moved from Chris Waller to Francis Graffard at Chantilly to pursue the owners' dream of targeting the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe.
