Solow joins Cirrus in line-up for retraining of racehorses day at Deauville
Deauville's second raceday in support of the Au-dela des Pistes charity for the retraining of racehorses on Saturday will feature the first public appearance of the brilliant Solow since owner-breeders the Wertheimers announced his retirement in May.
Solow will join another fan favourite, Cirrus Des Aigles, in a parade of former champions, while racegoers will also be treated to displays of dressage, showjumping and polo featuring former racehorses.
ADDP have also staged such events at Le-Lion d'Angers and Chantilly since the inaugural event last August.
As well the promoting the sport and leisure potential of thoroughbreds after their racing careers are over, the charity has begun an accreditation procedure in conjunction with France Galop to ensure high standards among the centres charged with their retraining.
