David Menuisier keeps options open for Wonderful Tonight on Arc Trials card
Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe favourite Snowfall, set to be ridden by Frankie Dettori, looks likely to face a high level of opposition in Sunday's Prix Vermeille, one of three key prep races on the Longchamp Trials card.
Aidan O'Brien is responsible for five fillies from a potential field of 12 after Wednesday's forfeit stage, with Prix de Diane winner Joan Of Arc and last year's English and Irish Oaks heroine Love also among the possibles.
The home challenge is led by Raabihah, who was fifth in last season's Arc, while Andre Fabre could run Philomene and Burgarita, who filled the places behind Joan Of Arc in the Diane.
British interest revolves around Alpinista, who won the Group 1 Grosser Preis von Berlin on her most recent start, Teona and another of the leading fancies for the Arc, Wonderful Tonight.
David Menuisier has also left himself the option of pitting Wonderful Tonight against the older colts in the Group 2 Prix Foy, where the opposition is likely to be led by Skaletti and Iresine.
Ten horses in total have been left in the Foy, including O'Brien's Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud winner Broome.
Bolshoi Ballet could make his first appearance in Europe since suffering an injury in the Derby should he take up his engagement in the Prix Niel, a race which lost its leading attraction Adayar on Tuesday.
Also featuring among seven possibles for the Niel is Bolshoi Ballet's stablemate The Mediterranean, as well as the Fabre-trained Media Stream and Timour.
