The team behind Irish Derby fourth Red Verdon are poised to roll the dice again, with the son of Lemon Drop Kid likely to be added to the field for Thursday’s Juddmonte Grand Prix de Paris at this morning’s supplementary stage.

The three-year-old could be joined in the line-up by the horse who finished two places in front of him in the Derby, Epsom fourth Wings Of Desire.

Owner Ronnie Arculli took the bold move to supplement Red Verdon for both Epsom and the Curragh, and adding him to the line-up at Saint-Cloud will cost another €43,200. The three fees aggregate would work out at not far off £200,000, while Red Verdon earned nearly £47,000 for his two Derby efforts.
