Hugo Palmer targets more European success as Hot Team goes for German Group 3

Hugo Palmer is hoping for more European success as impressive French scorer Hot Team is one of two British runners in taking part in this German Group 3 event.
It took the son of Zoffany four attempts to get off the mark but he has flourished since, finishing third in the 18-runner Tattersalls Ireland Super Auction Sale Stakes before an authoritative four-length Listed win at Bordeaux Le Bouscat.
Palmer, who claimed the German 1,000 Guineas with Unforgetable Filly in 2017, said: "He won very well the last day but I don't know how strong the form of that race is. It's a difficult race to assess, especially comparing the French and German form.
"In England Hot Team was an 80s rated horse but then went to France and won a Listed race by four lengths, so that says a lot about the quality of that race. It will be interesting to see where the German horses are. Germany has been a lucky place for us so I hope he can go well."
Archie Watson is also represented with Barys, a dual winner on the all-weather, who was last seen finishing sixth at Chelmsford. He will be ridden by Jack Mitchell.
Noble Moon, a smart Group 3 winner as a juvenile, is the likely favourite and goes for leading German trainer Peter Schiergen.
Multiple German champion trainer Markus Klug runs three in the contest – Man On The Moon, Moonlight Man and Sibelius.
