Olmedo gives Rouget and Demuro that familiar Chantilly feeling

It is only nine years since Le Havre gave Jean-Claude Rouget his Classic breakthrough in the Prix du Jockey Club, a success that started a remarkable streak of success for many of the people involved in that victory.
Le Havre's owner, Gerard Augustin-Normand, was experiencing big-race success for the first time and his decision to stand the son of Noverre at stud in Normandy is a big part of what followed, the young stallion's daughters Avenir Certain and La Cressonniere both going on to win the Prix de Diane Longines under the guidance of Rouget.
In fact, starting with Stacelita's Diane victory seven days after Le Havre's crowning moment, Rouget has won six more Chantilly Classics, including four of the last eight.
