In-form Oisin Murphy lands UAE 1,000 Guineas on 33-1 shot Silva
The Listed UAE 1,000 Guineas was turned into a procession by Silva with Oisin Murphy, fresh from a prolific spell in Japan, winning on his first ride back in the UAE for Pia Brandt.
The three-year-old daughter of Kodiac, a home-bred by Zalim Bifov, lost her maiden tag at the third and most recent attempt, over an extended 1m1f on the all-weather at Deauville in December.
Murphy said: “She is a really nice, tough, filly who won very well over further at Deauville last time so I was always going to be positive on her. You'd imagine the longer trip in the UAE Oaks will really suit her.”
