Flightline had already shown himself exceptionally good at up to a mile around just one turn.

The American superstar won his first four starts including two Grade 1s, most recently the Met Mile at Belmont in June.

Yet in the Pacific Classic on Saturday, the signature race of Del Mar's Summer Meet, he proved even better over a 1m2f two-turn test, maintaining his unbeaten record with one of the great performances by a racehorse.
