It is ten years since Freddy Head scored his sole success as a trainer in the Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere with Naaqoos, a victory that capped a real breakthrough campaign for the former champion jockey thanks to the exploits of Goldikova and Marchand D'Or.

After just two starts Anodor is a long way from belonging among those illustrious names but he put himself in line for a crack at the Arc day Group 1 after controlling this race from the front under a confident Aurelien Lemaitre to score by two lengths from Insandi.
