All you need to know as the Dubai Carnival gets under way

Now in its 17th year, the Dubai Carnival is back again and that means a series of high-class international fixtures at Meydan over the coming weeks.
It culminates at the end of March in the 25th running of the Dubai World Cup – there was a World Cup before there was a carnival, with Cigar's epic victory in 1996 just the start – and as usual there is much to look forward to.
