Happen overcame a slow start to finish second in the Saratoga Oaks for Aidan O'Brien on Friday but was no match for Concrete Rose, finishing four and three-quarter lengths behind the winner.

Concrete Rose made all in the $695,000 contest, adding the second leg of the New York Racing Association's inaugural Turf Tiara to her CV just one month after winning the Belmont Oaks.

"They gave me the race in the first part of it," said winning jockey Julien Leparoux. "We ran slowly, but she finished powerfully. She's a very special filly and I'm excited to be riding her.

"I was confident the whole way around and I knew she was going to kick home. I'm very happy for the connections. There are a lot of people here that love her."

Concrete Rose's only loss in seven starts came when eighth behind Newspaperofrecord in the Breeders' Juvenile Fillies Turf at Churchill Downs last November.

The daughter of Twirling Candy could be aimed at the Grade 1 Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup at Keeneland in October but is more likely to contest the final leg of the Turf Tiara, the Jockey Club Oaks, at Belmont on September 7.
