International competition is coming to point-to-point racing in a new fixture at Barbury racecourse in Wiltshire that will pitch pointers trained in Ireland into a British meeting for the first time.

Launched by the newly-formed Barbury International Racing Club, the January 14 meeting will also be open to licensed trainers as they are allowed to run horses in Irish point-to-points.

There will also be a point-to-point Flat race, the first such contest to be held at a non-licensed racecourse.
