There was a Halloween send-off for superstar stallion-in-waiting Baaeed at the William Haggas yard on Monday morning as he left Newmarket to begin the second chapter of his career at Shadwell's Nunnery Stud in Thetford.

All the main players in the Baaeed story were present at Somerville Lodge to clap and wave off the six-time Group 1 winner as he was led on to the horsebox by his loyal lad Ricky Hall on the stroke of 11am.

Just over two weeks after his final racecourse appearance and sole defeat in the Qipco Champion Stakes at Ascot, the Shadwell team turned out for the send-off.
