Jamie Snowden is well on track to make this season his best yet, but it could be even more memorable as he eyes a Grade 1 breakthrough with Friday's Cheltenham winner Datsalrightgino.

The five-year-old, owned by the GD Partnership, stayed on to the line strongest to land the 2m1f novice hurdle and will now look to complete a hat-trick in that sphere with the Tolworth at Sandown his next confirmed target.

A top-level first, on January 8, would be fitting for the yard given Sandown was the place Snowden enjoyed some of his best days in the saddle, winning the Grand Military Gold Cup on five occasions.
