Al Aasy produced one of the wow moments of the Flat season when romping home at Newbury on Saturday, but connections of two of his Coronation Cup opponents are not going to be frightened off by Shadwell's potential world-beater.

His trainer William Haggas has earmarked some of the sport's best middle-distance races for the four-year-old, who cantered to victory in the Group 3 Al Rayyan Stakes at the weekend – a sparkling display that resulted in some bookmakers slashing him to odds-on for the Coronation Cup, which takes place at Epsom on June 4.
