Former dual champion jockey Paul Hanagan has spoken out about claims of bullying, warning that "bollockings" should not be mistaken for something more serious.

And he revealed he believes the "ineffective" interference rules and penalties mean senior jockeys such as himself are having to take it upon themselves to try to keep younger riders on the straight and narrow.

The culture in the weighing room has been the focus of media attention since the leak of details of a BHA investigation into alleged harassment of Bryony Frost by Robbie Dunne.
