Wednesday's meetings at Lingfield and Hexham need to pass morning inspections following heavy rain brought by Storm Barra.

The going was soft at Lingfield on Tuesday as the storm passed through and an inspection will be held at 7.30am to assess the state of the track before the scheduled seven-race jumps card.

Hexham, where the going on Tuesday was heavy, will inspect at 8am after a day of rain, sleet, snow and strong winds.

Clerk of the course James Armstrong said on Tuesday: “If we survive the rain we'll then monitor the winds through to race time. At the moment we're very positive, but we are wary because there's a weather warning.”

Wednesday's three all-weather cards at Kempton, Wolverhampton and Dundalk are set to take place as planned.

Tramore now races on Thursday after Tuesday's meeting was called off and no issues are anticipated.

Fairyhouse races on Saturday and manager Peter Roe said on Tuesday: "At the moment we’re calling it yielding. We had five millimetres of rain today and it’s breezy.

"It will probably come up yielding to soft, or soft, but the track is in great condition and there’s no danger of the meeting being called off. We’re in a good spot and we don’t foresee any issues."
