'He's very exciting' - Slevin keen on Arkle hope Banbridge after emphatic win

Banbridge was slashed to as short as 10-1 for the Sporting Life Arkle following his emphatic victory in a trial at Cheltenham on Saturday and the winning jockey believes he can be a big player at the festival.

JJ Slevin spent more than a month on the sidelines with cracked vertebrae following a schooling fall in early October but bounced back when winning the From The Horses Mouth Podcast Arkle Trial with Banbridge.

"He's an exciting horse," the jockey said. "I was really impressed with the way he jumped when he won at Gowran over two and a half miles in October so we thought dropping to two miles may help him. He's just so slick and jumping is definitely his biggest asset.
