'He's handled everything we've asked' - Deutsch excited by King George chance

Charlie Deutsch accepts L'Homme Presse faces the stiffest test of his career in Monday's Ladbrokes King George VI Chase (2.30), but the leading rider is confident he can rise to the challenge as "every test we've asked of him he's handled really well".

The up-and-coming chaser has overtaken Bravemansgame at the top of the betting for the Boxing Day showpiece with some firms in the six days since he was given the go-ahead for Kempton.

He could face five Grade 1 winners next week on the back of his own reappearance success in the Rehearsal Handicap Chase at Newcastle last month.
