Presenting Percy, last season’s brilliant RSA Chase winner and leading Cheltenham Gold Cup fancy, is on course to make his eagerly awaited return in the Grade 1 John Durkan Chase at Punchestown next month, according to owner Philip Reynolds.

If good things really do come to those who wait, a lot can be expected from Presenting Percy this season as his connections have been forced to sit on their hands due to the unseasonably quick ground.

A general 6-1 co-favourite, along with Might Bite and Native River, for next year's Gold Cup, Presenting Percy has not been sighted since his win at Cheltenham in March, but he had his first workout on grass at Pat Kelly’s Galway base during the week as he builds towards his anticipated comeback on December 9.
