'He has to have a chance' - Skelton plotting another super Saturday in Becher

Dan Skelton is "pinching himself" after two big Saturday wins in a row but is plotting to get up the hat-trick as Ashtown Lad prepares to tackle the Grand National fences in the Boylesports Becher Handicap Chase.

The eight-year-old is the general 4-1 joint-favourite for the Aintree contest as Skelton looks to follow up landmark successes with Protektorat in the Betfair Chase and Le Milos in the Coral Gold Cup.

Those victories have helped take him past the £1 million prize-money mark for the season with only former boss Paul Nicholls above him in the British trainers' standings.
