Haslam delighted after talented Mr Mole joins his Middleham yard

Trainer Ben Haslam hopes a change of scenery could spark a revival in the fortunes of Mr Mole, who has joined his stable from Paul Nicholls.

The 31-year-old, based in Middleham, received the Grade 2-winning chaser on Friday after owner JP McManus opted to make the change.

Mr Mole is on a winless run stretching back to February 2015 when he claimed the Game Spirit Chase under Sir Anthony McCoy, who then famously announced his intention to retire in his post-race interview.
