Haggas plots path to Dewhurst glory for Champagne hero Rivet

In-form trainer William Haggas had a spring in his step on Monday as he put his Dubai Dewhurst Stakes hopeful Rivet through his paces on Warren Hill.

Rivet is a general 8-1 shot for this Saturday’s Group 1 at Newmarket following yesterday’s forfeits, the market headed by Churchill at a best-priced 4-6 with Coral and Sky Bet.

Haggas's cheer was understandable, his yard having sent out a remarkable 37 winners in September, by far the trainer's most successful calendar month.
