Roger Charlton on Saturday revealed Qipco 1,000 Guineas favourite Quadrilateral was bang on track for her Classic bid but admitted he hopes for an end to the uncertainty as to whether his Frankel filly will be in action at Newmarket on May 3.

Charlton is aiming Quadrilateral at the first fillies' Classic of the season but with racing shut down until at least the end of April and original entries cancelled by the BHA this week there are clearly huge question marks over when the race will be run.

The unbeaten Quadrilateral has headed ante-post betting since an impressive nine-length conditions race victory at Newbury last September and is currently clear favourite at a best-priced 6-1, having followed up in the Group 1 Fillies' Mile over the Guineas course and distance the following month. The daughter of Frankel is also ante-post favourite for the Oaks.
