Victory in the Canadian International has opened up a range of exciting options for Erupt as the focus of the Flat season moves away from Europe to the lucrative year-end festivals in the US and Asia.

Trainer Francis Graffard raced straight home from Woodbine on Sunday after Erupt had beaten Dartmouth by a length, while the Niarchos family’s son of Dubawi is also back in France.

Erupt is a best-priced 8-1 for the Turf at Santa Anita on November 5, while he is also among 28 foreign-trained nominations for the Japan Cup on November 27.
