Goodwood is hoping the continued easing of public health restrictions to fight Covid-19 could see its flagship Glorious meeting at the end of next month attended by owners, the meeting's sponsors and even some of its 4,000 annual members.

Since the resumption of racing on June 1, after being shut down as the pandemic ravaged Britain in April and May, all meetings have been behind closed doors with strict health protocols as have all Premier League football fixtures.

Goodwood itself held a two-day meeting without incident this month under the strict BHA rules.
