Godolphin pair set 2,000 standard - with Buick likely to plump for Native Trail
Regardless of who decides to ride which of the Charlie Appleby pair in the Qipco 2,000 Guineas on Saturday week, the only certainty will be that favourite Native Trail will be wearing the second colours of Godolphin for the first time in his career.
Not that should worry supporters of last week’s Group 3 Craven Stakes winner as it is only the alphabetical order system of the owners that will transfer the all-blue livery to his stablemate Coroebus.
As regards jockey bookings come April 30, I expect William Buick to be donning the white hat of last year’s champion two-year-old Native Trail after a no-nonsense return to action over the Guineas course and distance a week ago.
