Glynne concert swells Market Rasen crowd to record levels

Market Rasen was yesterday celebrating a modern-day record crowd after Saturday's meeting, which was followed by a concert by Jess Glynne, attracted more than 14,000.

The attendance was the biggest at the Lincolnshire track since the second world war and, according to Jockey Club Racecourses, a majority were on course before the start of racing.

"We have produced crowds of around 13,000 before and Summer Plate day was just short of 11,000 so we have been exceeding the 10,000 mark, but this surpassed our expectations," said Market Rasen general manager Nadia Gollings.
