Glorious Goodwood Tuesday ITV7 tips

The ITV7 competition is back for Glorious Goodwood and is completely free to play, with a potential £100,000 up for grabs. Users will need a Sky Bet account to enter so if you don't already have an account, sign up above and take advantage of the free bet offer.

The Racing Post experts make their selections for the competition.

Race 1 – 1.45 Goodwood

TINANDALI

Preference is for Tinandali, who looked to be coming to the boil when the race didn't go his way at York recently and he has a big run in him for last year's winning yard.

Race 2 – 2.00 Ayr

VENTURA EXPRESS

Richard Fahey's three-year-old Ventura Express was arguably a shade unlucky not to make a winning handicap debut over course and distance last week and commands respect off the same mark here. The Mayson colt is untested on turf slower than good to firm but his sire was very effective on slow ground.

Race 3 – 2.15 Goodwood

PAINLESS POTTER

Alan King saddled the runner-up in this race two years ago and may well go one better this time round, given that he rates Paintless Potter as the best juvenile he has trained. The selection is crying out for this step up in distance and thus holds every chance of improving.

Race 4 – 2.30 Ayr

ENTRANCING

The Richard Fahey-trained Entrancing was a very creditable second of 16 on her handicap debut at York and might be the answer.

Race 5 – 2.45 Goodwood

SIR DANCEALOT

This looks tight among the main form contenders. Slight preference is for Sir Dancealot, who has won this race for the last two years and returns to an ideal scenario having found the July Cup unsuitable on his latest start.

Race 6 – 3.15 Goodwood

STRADIVARIUS

An exciting clash between the top stayer and a rising star who gets a hefty three-year-old allowance. Stradivarius is taken to win this race for the fourth year in a row but Classic-winning Santiago, who has plenty more improvement in him, is massively feared.

Race 7 – 3.45 Goodwood

CELSIUS

Celsius has been held off this mark on his last two starts but there have been excuses and this hold-up performer, who won at the meeting 12 months ago, may be able to pick up the pieces and take another step up the sprinting ladder.
