Garner out to cap successful summer with Italian job

Conditional jockey Tom Garner, who has been showcasing his talents abroad throughout the summer, is this weekend chasing victory in two Grade 1s in Italy, at Merano racecourse.
Garner, who is attached to Oliver Sherwood's yard, rides Notti Magiche on Saturday in the €64,000 Gran Corsa Siepi di Merano, a hurdle, while on Sunday he partners Sevila Real in the champion three-year-old hurdle.
"I'm travelling over here now for the two-day meeting as we speak," said Garner on Friday. "I'm very much looking forward to it.
