Galileo Gold is ready to muscle in on the argument that this year’s three-year-olds have been seriously underestimated with another success for the Classic generation against their elders in the Qatar Sussex Stakes in 15 days' time.

That is the view of his trainer Hugo Palmer, as he yesterday reported the 2,000 Guineas and St James’s Palace Stakes winner growing and strengthening by the week in his break since Royal Ascot.

Both Palmer and Frankie Dettori were bullish that Galileo Gold would confirm the Royal Ascot form if the Sussex becomes a rematch of the three Guineas winners.
