1 Savouring Skitter Scatter

Patrick Prendergast had this to say in Sunday’s Racing Post: "When you're left with a small pool of horses and they're no good, it's human nature to start convincing yourself that something might have worked well but it was only bad beating worse."

Only on Sunday it was a case of great beating very good. Skitter Scatter announced herself as Ireland’s best juvenile filly with a dominant display in the Moyglare and now Prendergast has a genuine Qipco 1,000 Guineas contender. It was Prendergast's first Group 1, likewise Ronan Whelan's.
