Few horses have the Champion Hurdle and Melbourne Cup on their agenda but that is the ambitious campaign being mapped out for Saturday's impressive Elite Hurdle winner Verdana Blue, whose strong-travelling style and electric turn of foot has owner Charlie Parker dreaming of glory around the globe.

Parker is no stranger to Australasian success as his father, the late Sir Eric Parker, owned the New Zealand-bred 1991 Grand National winner Seagram. While acknowledging the scale of the challenge, Parker is keen to see what the Nicky Henderson-trained Verdana Blue can achieve on the Flat.
