Frankie goes to Yarmouth: Dettori's three mounts backed to continue flying start
Frankie Dettori is in action at Yarmouth on Wednesday with three intriguing mounts which have attracted plenty of support in the betting market.
The regally bed Willabell, by War Front and out of US Group 1 winner Photo Call, makes her debut in the British Stallion Studs EBF Maiden Fillies' Stakes (5.40) over six furlongs.
All of Dettori's rides are for John Gosden, with Majestic Noor (4.35) and Magical Memory (6.45) also fancied to get off the mark. The latter is the big mover, shortening from 3-1 to 9-4 this morning.
Dettori is a rare but successful visitor at Yarmouth, where he has had 15 winners in the last five years with a sparkling 42 per cent strike-rate.
Ryan Moore has had just five rides in two years at Wolverhampton and Sunday's 1,000 Guineas-winning rider is a surprise name on the racecard. He partners Batchelor Boy (2.10), Astro King (4.10) and My Poem (5.20).
It is the busiest day of racing since the resumption in Britain and Ireland with five meetings in total. Pontefract kicks off the afternoon at 12.45, the first meeting at the track in 2020, while Wolverhampton and Kempton are also in action.
Navan stages racing in Ireland with an eight-race card including the Listed Irish Stallion Farms EBF Salsabil Stakes (3.30).
