Clues at the gallop

It is always questionable how much can be learned from watching horses work when the instructions, weights (and occasionally the identity of their companion) are not known, but Epsom is a unique track that rises and falls dramatically, has a sharp downhill bend befitting of nearby Chessington World of Adventures that comes at a key point and a long off-camber straight.

If work anywhere is going to provide a clue it is here. Will Young Rascal and Perfect Clarity handle the track? Proving that at half-speed is unlikely to enhance their claims, but should they struggle with the contours as many do it would not bode well for tackling the challenge at racing pace in 11 and 12 days' time.
