Professional punter Matt Williams highlights his fancies for the season

Trainer: Roger Charlton
She impressed me in all three starts last year, including when beaten favourite in a novice race (conceding 7lb to the field) at Kempton (7f) on her final start in October. She is untested beyond 7f but there is every chance she'll stay a mile, though I reckon that might be the limit of her reserves. A rating of 83 is workable and Charlton will be looking to take advantage of that before searching for the must-have black type.

If he didn't carry such a hefty price tag you would have said he showed promise, without winning, on his two starts at two. His trainer found a good opportunity for him at Chelmsford (7f) last month in what turned out to be a confidence-booster, finishing well clear of the second. In the great scheme of things, that form is garbage, but he stood out on looks and was simply in a different league, suggesting bigger and better targets await. It's not clear what ground he's going to favour, but he has raced exclusively at 7f so far and I don't think he'll go backwards for the step up to a mile.

Frankel and Attraction was always going to be a match made in heaven and, in producing Elarqam, connections have a genuine stallion prospect on their hands, provided he can continue to impress on the racecourse. In winning easily at York (7f, good to soft) and a Newmarket Group 3 (7f, good to soft), the dream is still alive going into his three-year-old campaign.
